|Groin - Questionable for Week 1 at Detroit|
Rank Among Leaders
|Prince Amukamara could return to practice this week |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(8/23/14) Giants defensive back Prince Amukamara is still recovering from a groin injury, and coach Tom Coughlin told ESPN.com he hopes Amukamara will be back in practice prior to the final preseason game.
"I would think Prince is going to run," he said. "He ran last night, he ran today with the trainers and maybe we’ll get him back this week."
Amukamara missed the team's last preseason game as a result of the injury, suffered the previous week. Assuming he can return to practice before the preseason ends, he should be ready to play by the start of the regular season.
|Prince Amukamara says groin strain not serious |
|by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com|
(8/17/14) Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara said the groin strain he suffered Saturday night is not serious, and that he'll definitely be ready for the regular-season opener, reports the New York Daily News.
|Prince Amukamara established himself as a quality Fantasy defensive back in 2013, and he's hoping to build off that performance this year. Amukamara had 85 total tackles (76 solo) with one interception and 14 pass defenses. He could see more work this year if teams challenge him with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on the opposite side. We like Amukamara as a low-end starter in IDP leagues or as a key reserve. He is worth drafting with a late-round pick.
