Foster leads Bucs in tackles: Buccaneers linebacker Mason Foster, who has taken a back seat to rookie Lavonte David for much of this year, led the team with 12 tackles, including 11 solo, Week 17 at Atlanta. He had averaged 5.0 tackles in his previous 10 games.

| Fantasy Analysis |
With the strong performance to end the season, Foster finishes 2012 with 105 tackles, which is enough to make him a second-tier linebacker in Fantasy IDP leagues. He doesn't quite compare to David as far as tackles go, but he'll be worth drafting in the majority of those formats in 2013.

| Mason Foster should continue to man the middle of the Bucs defense again in 2013. Last year rookie Lavonte David shined for Tampa Bay but Foster still made 105 total tackles with a pair of sacks and a pair of passes defensed. He's got lots of potential but just isn't worth anything more than a speculative middle- to late-round pick. He's a good quality reserve. (Updated 4/26/13) |
