Brendon Ayanbadejo thinks gay-rights issues one reason he was cut
On Thursday, the Ravens officially released linebacker and special teams standout Brendon Ayanbadejo. Conventional wisdom was that the move had to do with Ayanbadejo's age (37), his 2013 salary ($940,000), and that he was relegated to mostly special teams duty.

The Ravens spent the first few weeks of free agency jettisoning integral pieces of their championship roster: Anquan Boldin, Cary Williams, Ed Reed, Bernard Pollard, Dannell Ellerbe and Paul Kruger were either traded or not re-signed. On Wednesday, core special teamer Brendon Ayanbadejo joined the ranks of former Ravens after the team released him.

Seahawks' Chris Clemons: Gay player coming out would be 'selfish act'
Seahawks defensive end Chris Clemons said on Twitter that an NFL player coming out as gay would be a 'selfish act' because the player would be 'trying to make themselves bigger than the team.' Clemons emphasized that he's not against gay players, he just thinks that players should leave their 'love life at home.'
