Preseason Outlook

Stecker placed on IR: Tailback Aaron Stecker will miss the rest of this season with a hamstring injury. Stecker became the 13th member of the Saints' injured reserve list Tuesday. Stecker had been battling his injury since the first week of the season. He aggravated it on a 12-yard catch early in the first quarter Sunday at Kansas City and left the game.

Fantasy Analysis

Stecker's injury comes at a tough time for the Saints since Reggie Bush is out and Deuce McAllister is facing a possible suspension soon. Obviously, if he's out for the year, then Fantasy owners shouldn't have him on their rosters. Speculating with Pierre Thomas at this point wouldn't be a bad idea.

Aaron Stecker had a hamstring injury sabotage his 2008 season. In six games, Stecker had 43 yards on eight carries and 52 yards and a touchdown on nine catches. Stecker is a free agent this offseason and will try to land a gig as a third-down back somewhere. Until he finds regular playing time, however, Fantasy owners shouldn't eyeball him.
