Four injured Cardinals practice Monday
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(8/25/14) Cardinals linebacker Kevin Minter (pectoral), defensive back Tyrann Mathieu (knee), guard Jonathan Cooper (toe) and nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu (knee) practiced Monday, AZCardinals.com reports.

Head coach Bruce Arians said that all four injured players would need to play in the preseason finale in order to be available for the team's regular-season opener.

Jonathan Cooper dealing with turf toe
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/24/14) Cardinals guard Jonathan Cooper has a case of turf toe that he expects to linger throughout the season, reports ESPN.com. "I think it's going to linger regardless," he said.

"It's just going to be one of those things where there's going to be some aspect of it that I'm going to feel. Just have to play through it."

Cooper has missed practice since Aug. 11. He must play in one of the final two preseason games to be considered for playing time in the regular-season opener, coach Bruce Arians said.

Another setback for Jonathan Cooper
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/11/14) Cardinals guard Jonathan Cooper will miss a few days with a toe injury, reports Fox Sports. It's another setback for last year's No. 7 overall pick, who missed his entire rookie season with a broken leg.

Coach Bruce Arians expressed concern with Cooper's development even before his latest injury.

Bruce Arians 'disappointed' in Jonathan Cooper
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(8/2/14) Bruce Arians has become concerned with the progress of Cardinals guard Jonathan Cooper, the team's first pick in the 2013 draft. Cooper is coming off his recovery from a broken leg sustained in last year's camp that prevented him from playing his rookie year.

"I'm a little disappointed in where Coop is right now, would hope he would come in a little faster," Arians told Fox Sports. "To get back into the speed of the game, he needs to pick it up. We need to see that special player we drafted last year."

Bruce Arians: Jonathan Cooper has 'a ways to go'
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(6/25/14) Cardinals left guard Jonathan Cooper, the team's 2013 first-round pick, still is not fully recovered from the broken leg he suffered last preseason, reports Fox Sports.

"Coop's still got a ways to go," coach Bruce Arians said. "He's not the athlete he was last year at this time but I wouldn't expect him to be. It's just a matter of getting his strength back and his confidence and his balance."
