Lions moving Michael Williams to offensive tackle

|(5/21/14) The Lions will move tight end Michael Williams to offensive tackle, the Oakland Press reports.
Williams is 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds and best known for his blocking, not for his receiving skills. He was a late-round draft pick of the Lions last year.

|(8/26/13) Lions tight end Michael Williams had surgery Monday to repair a broken right hand, reports MLive.com. Williams' agent, Bradley Byrne, said the rookie's injury is considered minor and he is expected back "in a few weeks."

|(8/23/13) Lions rookie tight end Michael Williams suffered a broken hand in Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots. He was projected as the No. 3 tight end behind Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler before the injury.|
Williams is expected to have surgery next week and remains hopeful of a return this season.
