|Stansly Maponga should be ready for camp |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(7/11/13) Falcons rookie defensive end Stansly Maponga, a fifth-round pick from TCU, should be fine for the start of training camp, reports the team's official website.
Maponga was hampered in the offseason by a foot injury, but he's expected to be fine. He dealt with foot problems last year at TCU.
|The Falcons selected TCU defensive end Stansly Maponga in the NFL draft. Maponga has proven to be a good pass rusher in college (13 sacks the last two years) but TCU sack artists have struggled to do well in the pros and Maponga is short like those alums. Playing time for him will be rare in the early going. He's worth drafting late in deeper dynasty/keeper leagues and rookie-only drafts. (Updated 5/15/13) |
