Akers shutout in Week 17: Eagles K David Akers failed to record a point for the first time all season during a 24-0 loss to the Cowboys in Week 17. Akers did get a chance to put points on the board in the second half, but he missed a 53-yard field goal.

Fantasy Analysis
With the NFC East title on the line, the Eagles had their worst performance of the year in Week 17. It was definitely uncanny. Akers had seven games in 2009 when he had 10 or more points. He also made 30 or more field goals for a second straight season. It seems the older Akers get, the better he performs. Akers will remain a must-own Fantasy kicker on Draft Day 2010.
