Lions reel in safety Quin: Glover Quin has signed a deal with the Lions, ESPN reported Wednesday. The cornerback-turned-free safety is expected to start right away for the Lions. (Updated 3/13/13) |

| Fantasy Analysis |
Quin's been a good player and is a much-needed player for the Lions' secondary. He had 84 total tackles with 14 passes defensed, a sack and two interceptions last season with Houston, numbers that are pretty close to his baseline averages over the last four years. With the Lions expected to be in a lot of shootouts and with a below-average secondary and pass rush, Quin could see a bump statistically. Figure to land him as a fair-to-middlin' No. 2 Fantasy DB but he's got potential to be more than that in Motown. (Updated 3/13/13). |

Lions reportedly next in line to host Darrius Heyward-Bey
The Detroit Lions will host free-agent wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey on Wednesday, according to the Detroit Free Press. The former first-round draft pick spent Monday night and Tuesday in Indianapolis.

| Safety Glover Quin has moved on to Detroit from Houston and should be in a position to put up a lot of stats in 2013. He finished last year as a No. 2 defensive back with the Texans, leading the team in tackles with 84 and adding a sack, two interceptions and a whopping 16 passes defensed. The Lions have had safety issues for years so Quin should be able to keep up the big stats. We like him as a No. 2 Fantasy DB with a mid- to late-round pick. (Updated 4/26/13) |
