Jones to fight for job
by Jamey Eisenberg \| Senior Fantasy Writer (5/3/13) ESPN reports that Patriots receiver Donald Jones, who signed as a free agent this offseason from Buffalo, could be fighting for a job in training camp along with fellow free agent signee Michael Jenkins. Both receivers now project to No. 5 or 6 on the depth chart behind Danny Amendola, draft picks Aaron Dobson/Josh Boyce and Julian Edelman. Had the Patriots drafted just one receiver, the odds naturally would have been better for both of them to possibly stick on the roster. Now, assuming good health, there might be just one spot (if any at all).

Medical condition won't slow Jones
by Dave Richard \| Senior Fantasy Writer (1/17/13) Bills receiver Donald Jones told the official team website that the medical condition he's played with his whole career and ended his season last December won't stop him from playing in 2013. Jones won't say what the condition is. "[I]t’s never hampered me football-wise,” Jones said. “This year, it wouldn't have either, if it wasn't for some of the treatments and things we were doing, which really hampered what I was doing. It’s nothing life-threatening or anything like that. It’s something that I have to deal with. The medicine that I was on kind of weighed me down, so they had to shut me down. ... I'll be back in May and ready to go."
