|Jags draftees include five DBs |
|by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(5/9/13) In addition to second-round pick Jonathan Cyprien, the Jaguars drafted five defensive backs: Connecticut cornerback Dwayne Gratz, Florida safety Josh Evans, New Mexico State cornerback Jeremy Harris and Appalachian State cornerback Demetrius McCray. They also drafted receiver/kick returner Ace Sanders from South Carolina.
Monday Musings: Break up the Jags
The Jaguars were 0-8, but now have won three of their past four games. A good group of improving rookies is a big reason why.
|The Jaguars selected Appalachian State cornerback Demetrius McCray in April's draft. McCray has excellent height (6-foot-1) and is physical, just what coach Gus Bradley loves in his cornerbacks, but is slow to cover faster receivers, especially if he bites on a play fake. He's worth a late-round pick only in deeper rookie-only drafts. (Updated 5/10/13) |
