Chargers OL Johnnie Troutman suffers broken arm

by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer
(8/14/15) Chargers right guard Johnnie Troutman suffered a broken arm during Thursday's preseason opener, per the San Diego Union-Tribune, and will miss an extended amount of time.

Troutman was the team's starter at the position, and in the aftermath of his injury, San Diego shifted D.J. Fluker over to the position.

Chargers GM: D.J. Fluker to stay at right tackle

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2/18/15) Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said Wednesday that offensive lineman D.J. Fluker will remain at right tackle, ESPN.com reports.

“That’s the plan right now,” Telesco said. "We think he has the ability to probably play a couple different spots, but right now that’s the plan, to leave him out there. He was a little uneven at times I think earlier in the year, not so much physical-wise, but more technique. But he had some games late in the year that he showed exactly what he could do, which is he can pass-protect on the right side.

"We know he’s a great run-blocker. He can move people. He has great effort getting out to the second level. His enthusiasm in the run game, you can see that on tape and you can see that live. But in pass protection he can do it out there, there’s no doubt."

Telesco acknowledged that the team's plans for Fluker could change later in the offseason but that the Chargers aren't looking at playing Fluker anywhere but right tackle. The team's offensive line coach said earlier in February that the team hadn't decided whether to move him inside to guard.

Chargers might move D.J. Fluker to guard

by Larry Hartstein | Senior Analyst
(2/3/15) Chargers offensive line coach Joe D’Alesandris said the team has not decided whether right tackle D.J. Fluker will stay at right tackle or move inside to guard, reports ESPN.com.

“We’re still in some discussion phase there, so I’d rather wait on that,” D’Alesandris said. “We think we see some things, but we want to make sure. It’s going to be a lot of decision making between now and OTAs, and after OTAs.”

Fluker has started 31 of 32 games since entering the league.

Chargers' D.J. Fluker suffers leg injury vs. Chiefs

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12/28/14) Chargers offensive lineman D.J. Fluker suffered a leg injury when his knee was rolled on during Week 17’s game against the Chiefs.

Fluker was able to walk off the field, but headed to the locker room. Willie Smith briefly replaced him, but Fluker was able to return.

Chargers list Week 14 inactives vs. Patriots

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12/7/14) The Chargers have rulled the following players as inactive for Sunday night's Week 14 matchup with the Patriots: nose tackles Ryan Carrethers (elbow) and Damion Square, running back Ronnie Brown, wide receiver Dontrelle Inman, guard Jeff Baca, tight end David Johnson and linebacker Cordarro Law.

Carrethers had already been ruled out for Sunday's game so his absence won't be unexpected. The team does have all three of its questionable players available for action, as linebacker Donald Butler (quad) and offensive linemen D.J. Fluker (concussion) and Chris Watt (calf) are active. Also active are all the team's probable players, including quarterback Philip Rivers (chest), defensive tackle Corey Liuget (knee) and linebacker Andrew Gachkar (knee).
