Trent Richardson's playing time eclipses Ahmad Bradshaw's
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/22/14) For the first time all season, Trent Richardson saw the field more than Ahmad Bradshaw in Week 3 against the Jaguars, according to StampedeBlue.com, a Colts blog.

Richardson has shown signs of life over the last few games, and the team rewarded him with 38 of the team's 74 offensive plays. Bradshaw, on the other hand, was limited to just 25 snaps, despite averaging more yards per rush and reception. Entering Week 3, Bradshaw had played 29 more snaps than Richardson through the first two games.

The Colts are heavily invested in Richardson finding his way, and if Sunday's game is any reflection, the team is starting to reflect that in the workload. Keep an eye on this moving forward, Fantasy owners.

Trent Richardson overshadowed Week 3
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Colts running back Trent Richardson had a nice game, but was overshadowed Week 3 against the Jaguars.

Richardson carried the ball 14 times for 57 yards. He also caught three passes for 23 yards during the contest. Richardson averaged a respectable 4.1 yards per rush, but couldn't match Ahmad Bradshaw. Bradshaw led the club with 65 rushing yards, and averaged 7.2 yards per carry. Richardson also had two chances to plunge the ball in at the 1 yard line, but failed to do so.

He'll look to find the end zone Week 4 against the Titans.

Trent Richardson enjoys best game as a Colt
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/16/14) Colts running back Trent Richardson failed to surpass 64 rushing yards in any game last season. He ran for 79 yards on 21 carries (3.8 ypc) in Monday's loss to the Eagles, adding a 16-yard catch on his lone target.

Richardson got off to a great start and had 57 rushing yards in the first half. He displayed better burst and was hard to bring down. Predictably, Richardson bogged down after halftime, even coughing up a third-quarter fumble.

Still, Richardson will look to build off this performance Week 3 at Jacksonville.

Trent Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw get nearly even split
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/8/14) The Colts used running backs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw almost evenly in their Week 1 loss at Denver. Richardson got nine touches to Bradshaw's eight.

Richardson started and ran six times for 20 yards (3.3 ypc). He was solid as a receiver, catching three of four targets for 31 yards.

Bradshaw was spectacular as a receiver and dominated snaps in the two-minute offense. He caught five of six targets for 70 yards, breaking multiple tackles in the open field. Bradshaw carried three times for 15 yards (5.0 ypc).

Look for Indy to rotate both backs again Week 2 against the Eagles.

Trent Richardson a dull flex option
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/2/14) We know Colts running back Trent Richardson has talent -- we just haven't seen it in a while. After averaging 2.9 yards per carry last season following his trade from Cleveland, Richardson actually fared worse this preseason, gaining 51 yards on 20 totes (2.6 ypc).

Ahmad Bradshaw will eat into Richardson's touches and could supplant him if he keeps struggling. Coming off a neck injury, Bradshaw got his feet wet in the third preseason game, rushing three times for 2 yards and catching an 11-yard pass.

The Colts' offensive line is suspect. Indy bolstered its receiving corps and will rely more on Andrew Luck's passing this year. It's hard to envision a sudden Richardson revival.

If you start Richardson as your flex Sunday night at Denver, the best-case scenario is about 75 total yards and a short rushing score (he managed three rushing TDs last year). Not the most exciting way to start a Fantasy season.
