Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul not worried over free agency

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/14/14) Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who's on the final year of his contract, told reporters Friday he's worried more about snapping New York's four-game losing skid than contract negotiations, ESPN reported. Both sides have yet to have any discussions about a new extension this season.

"To be honest with you, I'm not worried about my contract situation," Pierre-Paul said after Giants practice Friday. "It's going to take care of itself. If I'm here, I'm here. If I'm not, I'm not. I don't think about it. I go home and sleep good at night."

Pierre-Paul on Giants' problems: 'It is all about heart'

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/7/14) Just a few days after his teammate safety Antrel Rolle questioned his team's effort in a 40-24 Monday night loss against the Colts, Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul told reporters Friday that the team did not have enough "heart," per ESPN. With the Week 9 defeat, the Giants have dropped three consecutive games and are 3-5 on the season, three games behind Philadelphia for first place in the NFC East.

"Honestly, it is not all about attitude, it is all about heart," Pierre-Paul said Thursday, when asked about the Giants' attitude heading into the second half of the season. "You can have the attitude, you can have the swagger, you can talk your way, but it is all about heart. If you don’t have the heart to play this game, then we are going to continue losing.

"That is with every guy, every guy has to challenge their self to play more and do more than what they expect," he continued. "When it comes down to it, it is all about heart. If you don’t have heart, that is something you can’t give a player, you just have to have it."

Key Giants cleared for Monday Night Football

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/3/14) Three key Giants who were on the injury report are active for Monday's game against the Colts. They are defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who was probable with a shoulder injury; corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who was questionable with back and hamstring injuries; and punter Steve Weatherford, who was probable with an ankle injury.

Giants release final injury report for Week 9 vs. Colts

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/1/14) The Giants have released the team's final injury report for Monday's Week 9 matchup with the Colts, and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (back, hamstring) is the only player listed as questionable.

Rodgers-Cromartie spent the entire week of practice limited after spending his bye week at the team facility receiving treatment for his injuries. If he can't go, he'll join running back Rashad Jennings (knee) and defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins (calf), both of whom have been ruled out afer missing practice all week, on the sidelines.

Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) and punter Steve Weatherford (ankle) are both listed as probable to play Monday. Pierre-Paul practiced in full on Thursday and Friday before missing Saturday's session. Weatherford has been limited all week.

Giants intercept three passes during Week 3 win

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Despite surrendering more than 400 yards, the Giants had a pretty strong defensive effort during a 30-17 win Week 3 vs. Houston.

The Texans did finish with 411 yards (119 rushing) and were playing without star running back Arian Foster (hamstring). But the Giants held Houston to no points, four first downs and 83 yards in the first half.

Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara, safety Antrel Rolle and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie each had an interception Sunday. Linebacker Jameel McClain led the team with 11 tackles (nine solo). Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was second on the team with seven tackles (five solo). Amukamara and Rodgers-Cromartie each had two pass defenses.

The Giants are back in action Thursday at Washington.
