|Cardinals have four out for opener |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(9/6/13) The Rams enter Week 1 against the Cardinals with a relatively clean injury report. Four players have already been ruled out for Sunday's season opener, however none are considered big-time contributors.
The four are: tight end Cory Harkey (knee); defensive backs Quinton Pointer (thigh) and Darian Stewart (thigh); and linebacker Jonathan Stewart (hip).
|Jonathan Stewart might miss start of camp |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(7/11/13) Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is not expected to be ready for the start of training camp, reports the Charlotte Observer.
The report says Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Stewart is "progressing well" after offseason surgery on both ankles, but Rivera wouldn't say if Stewart would be ready for the start of training camp. Stewart has missed all the offseason work thus far because of the injury.
It is unknown if Stewart would be a candidate for the PUP list, but don't rule it out based on his history of foot/ankle injuries and the Panthers wanting to make sure he's ready for Week 1.
The Panthers still have DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert on the roster.
