Titans receiver Murdock found dead: The Tennessean reports that Titans receiver O.J. Murdock died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound this morning in Tampa, Fla., police said. Murdock shot himself in front of his high school in Tampa, according to the Tampa Tribune. The Titans had placed Murdock on their did not report list over the weekend. When asked about Murdock’s absence, coach Mike Munchak said it was for “personal reasons.” Murdock, a standout at Middleton High School in Tampa, was discovered by deputies in his car around 8:30 a.m. in front of the school. He was transported to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. Murdock, who played at South Carolina, suffered an Achilles injury last year in training camp and rehabbed with the team during the offseason. He initially joined the Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2011, and spent last season on injured reserve. He never played in a game for the Titans.

Titans Roll Call: Training camp -- Week 1
The Titans were healthy at almost every position Saturday -- the first practice of the 2012 training camp. Several WRs were missing, notably Kenny Britt and Kendall Wright.
