Four injured Bengals red-lighted against Browns
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(12/14/14) A quartet of injured Bengals are set to sit Sunday when their team takes the field against host Cleveland. They are cornerback Terence Newman (ankle), tight end Jermaine Gresham (toe), wide receiver James Wright (knee) and defensive end Margus Hunt (ankle).
The healthy scratches are quarterback AJ McCarron, wide receiver Dane Sanzenbacher and tackle Tanner Hawkinson.
A.J. Green among notable probables for Bengals in Week 14
|by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com|
|(12/5/14) The Bengals will be without the services of linebackers Vontaze Burfict (knee) and Jayson DiManche (forearm) for Week 14 against Pittsburgh. Burfict and DiManche were the only two players ruled out for the game, but defensive end Margus Hunt (ankle) and wide receiver James Wright (knee) could join them come Sunday. Both Hunt and Wright were labeled as doubtful for the game.
Meanwhile, defensive tackle Domata Peko (elbow) was the only player on the report deemed questionable, while defensive end Robert Geathers (hip), wide receiver A.J. Green (thigh), tight end Ryan Hewitt (illness), cornerback Adam Jones (concussion), tackle Marshall Newhouse (hip) and guard/center Mike Pollak (knee) were listed as probable.
|The Bengals invested a high pick in Margus Hunt in last year's draft and hope it pays off this season. After playing less than 200 snaps last year, the hope in Cincinnati is that the 6-foot-8, 280-pound Hunt can fit in at left end and become less of a raw prospect and more of a regular contributor. He's an interesting guy to watch and is worth at least a late-round flier in deeper leagues this summer.
