| Milliner says he'll be ready for camp |
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer (5/10/13) Jets rookie cornerback Dee Milliner believes he'll be ready for the start of training camp. He was on a stationary bike during the first day of rookie minicamp drills as he recovers from shoulder surgery. "With the shoulder it's a long process, you can't just go right out there and jump right in," he told the Newark Star-Ledger. "You can't really swing your arm. Like I said, I'm just rehabbing, getting back in the role of things and I'll be fine. ... I'll be ready, you just have to go through your rehab now, do the things that's necessary to be able to get ready for training camp."

| Milliner to help replace Revis |
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer (4/25/13) The Jets lost standout cornerback Darrelle Revis this offseason in a trade to Tampa Bay. To help replace Revis, the Jets selected rookie cornerback Dee Milliner with the No. 9 pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday. The Jets have to feel that Milliner is healthy. He has had four surgeries: on his leg, knee, hernia and shoulder, including a procedure to repair a torn labrum last month. The shoulder surgery could make him a question mark for the start of training camp. Still, Milliner was considered the top corner in the draft out of Alabama.

| Milliner's injuries not an issue |
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer (4/23/13) A league source told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the news surrounding Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner's injuries aren't news at all. Per ESPN, Milliner has had four surgeries: on his leg, knee, hernia and shoulder including a procedure to repair a torn labrum last month. The shoulder surgery could make him a question mark for the start of training camp. "Teams have known about these surgeries all along," a source told the paper. "They haven't been a secret and this is not a big issue."

| Milliner needs pre-draft surgery |
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer (2/21/13) ESPN reports Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner will need surgery for a torn right labrum following the NFL Combine. Milliner is scheduled to do every drill at the combine save for bench presses. He apparently played through the injury last season with the Crimson Tide. "The doctors have informed us that he will be 100 percent and fully recovered in time for training camp in July," said agent Tony Fleming. "We will be providing all NFL clubs information prior to surgery and updates close to the draft."

He had 54 tackles and 22 passes defensed and a pair of interceptions last season with the Crimson Tide. He is not going to be Revis, but he definitely helps the Jets fill a hole on defense. Milliner is not someone who will be Fantasy relevant in the majority of leagues, but he could be worth a late-round pick in deep IDP formats. (Updated 5/15/13) |
