| Fantasy Analysis |
Spence is a physical interior defensive lineman but not much of a pass rusher. He'll probably be part of a rotation for much of his career. Gholston is the cousin of former Jets bust Vernon Gholston and like his relative has the size (6-foot-7, 280 pounds) to work against the run but doesn't offer a ton in the way of pass rush. Some question his work ethic and motor. Means is a good pass rusher despite not having elite speed and can also work against the run in coverage. James is a versatile back who gives a good effort but doesn't have a lot of speed. He's a good blocker, which could help him earn some playing time. Only owners in rookie-only drafts should look at Means, James and Gholston with late-round picks. (Updated 5/15/13). |
| The Buccaneers took Michigan State defensive end William Gholston in the NFL Draft. Gholston is the cousin of former Jets bust Vernon Gholston and like his relative has the size (6-foot-7, 280 pounds) to work against the run but doesn't offer a ton in the way of pass rush. Some question his work ethic and motor. Keep the risk low and use nothing more than a late-round flier on him in rookie-only drafts. (Updated 5/15/13) |
