Justin Hunter basically unstoppable on fades
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/20/14) Titans receiver Justin Hunter is making the fade pattern "look all too easy," reports the Tennessean. When the team get near the goal line, Jake Locker lofts a pass toward the corner of the end zone and "the 6-4, 203-pound Hunter turns into the Titans' version of a jack-in-the-box, leaping over defenders to haul in a touchdown pass – just as he did in Friday's loss to the Saints," the paper said.

"He's so big and so long, and he has the ability to jump and he has such a big catch radius," Locker told the paper. "You're able to put the ball a lot of places to give him a chance. That puts a lot of pressure on the defense at that point."

Hunter beat the Chargers with a leaping 34-yard touchdown catch in the closing seconds last year. He's looking for a lot more opportunities in the end zone this season.

"They want to use my big frame, so they throw it to me there," Hunter said. "The cornerback has to turn his back at some point to try to defend me. That's when I can use my leaping ability to go over the top of him – before he gets a chance to figure it out."
Justin Hunter provides 'a glimpse' of what he can do
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/17/14) Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt is seeing growth from second-year receiver Justin Hunter, who caught four passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints. ESPN.com reports the 6-4 Hunter "showed off the leaping ability that can make him practically impossible to defend."

"I think you’re seeing just a glimpse of what he can be, but because of what he did last night, let’s not make the mistake and think he’s, by any stretch, close to what he can be," Whisenhunt said. "There are a lot of things, from route depth to discipline on his releases, where even though he made some big plays last night, those have got to become more consistent.

"So he’s still got a lot of work to do. I’m excited for two things: No. 1 because he can make those big plays; and No. 2, because he seems to have the right mindset to work on those two things. Part of being a young player is you’ve got to be able to do that yourself. Right now, he has to be reminded at times to do that. Not from a negative standpoint, just because there is a lot going on.

"I’m seeing growth, we’ve just got to continue to see that."
Justin Hunter scores twice, cracks 100-yard mark in preseason game
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/15/14) Titans wide receiver Justin Hunter made his presence felt with a 100-yard Friday night against the Saints in preseason action.

Hunter hauled in a 4-yard touchdown strike from Jake Locker on the opening drive of the game. He followed that up with a 64-yard touchdown pass from Zach Mettenberger in the second quarter. He was targeted five times and finished with four catches for a team-high 111 yards and two touchdowns.
Justin Hunter listed as backup
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(8/6/14) The Titans released a depth chart showing Kendall Wright and Nate Washington as the starting wideouts, with breakout candidate Justin Hunter on the second team. Hunter averaged 19.7 yards per catch and scored four touchdowns in limited work last year.
Justin Hunter a sleeper candidate
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(7/18/14) Titans second-year receiver Justin Hunter enters this season as a sleeper candidate, and he could be even better than we expect.

The Titans beat writer for the Tennessean, Jim Wyatt, shared his projections for Hunter this season. He has Hunter with 44 catches for 690 yards and seven touchdowns.
