Jimmie Ward being checked for head injury
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(9/7/14) San Francisco safety Jimmie Ward was removed from Sunday's game due to a head injury.
Ward was examined on the sideline. He went back to the locker room following an initial examination. The team did not update his condition.
|The 49ers drafted defensive back Jimmie Ward in the first round of the NFL Draft from Northern Illinois. He is expected to play nickel corner and backup safety, and he will have minimal Fantasy value in the majority of leagues this year. He is not worth drafting in most IDP formats, and he should only be taken with a late-round pick in rookie IDP drafts with the hope he can play safety full time in 2015.
