Paul Richardson getting deep repeatedly
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11:53 am ET) Seahawks rookie receiver Paul Richardson runs a 4.33 forty and has a 38-inch vertical leap. He's used those talents to reel in several deep touchdowns at practice.

Tuesday, Richardson beat corner Tharold Simon "by a wide margin" on one such scoring play, reports The News Tribune.

"He continues to show that he’s really, really fast and he can get up on you and he’s real comfortable catching everything that you throw at him," coach Pete Carroll said. "We’re real excited about Paul and hopefully we’ll just keep learning him and figuring him out and figure out how to best utilize his talents. He's got talents; he’s really quick in and out of his breaks. I love his catching range so we’ll try to figure it out but we’re real excited right now."

The paper said Richardson is not only a burner, but "has unleashed a couple open-field jukes that show he can be elusive, as well."

Paul Richardson showing off speed
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/4/14) Seahawks rookie receiver Paul Richardson is showing off his speed during OTA workouts, reports ESPN.

The report says Richardson has burned defenders on four deep throws for touchdowns during practice sessions open to the media. He did it again Monday on a 50-yard touchdown from Russell Wilson to Richardson when he had 5 yards on rookie defender Dion Bailey, per the report.

Richardson runs a 4.34 40-yard dash, and he had 70 catches for 1,280 yards and 10 touchdowns last season at Colorado. He was drafted in the second round.

(5/21/14) The Seahawks signed receiver Paul Richardson, a second-round pick out of Colorado, to a four-year contract. He runs a 4.34 forty and had 79 catches for 1,280 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.
Seahawks rookie receivers impressing early

(5/19/14) Seahawks wideouts Paul Richardson and Kevin Norwood stood out during the team's rookie minicamp over the weekend, reports The News Tribune. Richardson was a second-round pick, Norwood a fourth-rounder.

"The receivers really show up," coach Pete Carroll told the paper. "They jump out at us. Kevin and Paul (have) done really well."

Richardson caught several passes during team drills, prompting Carroll to say, "There's no question how fast he is. He's got great speed."

Richardson had 21 touchdown passes in three seasons at Colorado. Norwood was a two-year starter at Alabama, where he had 81 career catches and 12 touchdowns.

Seahawks' first pick in '14 is WR Paul Richardson
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(5/9/14) With the 45th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Seahawks selected Colorado receiver Paul Richardson .

His top quality is his speed -- he can run a 4.34 in the 40-yard dash. But he doesn't have much size to him as he's thin at 175 pounds and 6-feet tall. Overcoming a torn ACL in 2012, the second-generation football player sped his way to 20 touchdowns in his college career, averaging a ridiculous 41.8 yards per score, and had 79 receptions for 1,280 yards and 10 scores last season. Richardson might have to earn his keep on special teams before becoming a regular on offense.

The Seahawks dropped twice in the draft, moving out of pick 32 and again at pick 40 before settling on Richardson, the first player they took this year.
