Mason decides to retire: Veteran WR Derrick Mason will retire after 15 seasons in the NFL, according to Scout.com. Mason spent the past season with the Jets and Texans before being released by Houston in mid-December. He finished with just 19 receptions in 12 games between the two teams. "I'm done," Mason told the website. "I won't be playing football. I only knew one play to play football, going all-out and having fun out there."

Fantasy Analysis
Mason also played with Tennessee and Baltimore during his sterling career and amassed 943 total receptions for 12,061 yards and 66 touchdowns. "Me leaving now, even though it didn't happen the way I wanted it to happen, I had a good run," Mason said. "It was fun while it lasted." Mason was a standout in Fantasy PPR formats and topped at least 70 catches in eight seasons. He should remain untouched in 2012 drafts.
