|Titans load up on defense in draft |
|by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(5/15/13) Four of the Titans' last five picks in the NFL draft were on the defensive side of the ball. The team took Mizzou linebacker Zaviar Gooden, LSU defensive end Lavar Edwards, Nevada cornerback Kahlid Wooten and Nebraska safety Daimion Stafford.
Finding the Fits: Schwenke could bring shove back to Tennessee
The additions of free agent Andy Levitre and former Alabama star Chance Warmack were the splashier moves but fourth-round pick Brian Schwenke could emerge as the glue behind a revamped and suddenly powerful offensive line for the Titans.
|The Titans took Nebraska safety Daimion Stafford in the NFL Draft. Wooten is a decent-sized cornerback with nice straight-line speed but isn't a great coverage corner. Stafford has nice speed for a safety and is aggressive but needs more experience to be a decent player -- but there's potential, enough to take him with a late-round pick in rookie-only drafts.
