Chris Harris signs tender
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4/1/14) Broncos cornerback Chris Harris signed his restricted free agent tender of nearly $2.2 million for 2014, reports USA Today. Harris is coming back from a torn ACL he suffered during the playoffs and might not be ready for training camp.
Broncos tender Chris Harris at second-round level
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(3/7/14) The Broncos have tendered restricted free agent Chris Harris at the second-round level, USA Today reports. That means he has been offered a one-year deal guaranteed for nearly $2.2 million and if another team wants to sign him they'll have to give up a second-round pick as compensation.

Harris was the Broncos' best cornerback in 2013 but tore his ACL in January, making him tentative at best for training camp this summer.

Chris Harris looking at second-round tender
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/10/14) A second-round tender is now a stronger possibility for Broncos restricted free agent cornerback Chris Harris, reports the Denver Post. Harris underwent successful surgery on his partially torn ACL last Thursday, with a source revealing Harris suffered no other ligament or cartilage damage, the report said.

Without the injury, the Broncos likely would have extended Harris a first-round tender, the paper said. A second-round tender will pay an estimated $2.1 million in 2014.

Chris Harris has successful knee surgery
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/7/14) Restricted free agent cornerback Chris Harris had successful knee surgery on Thursday, NFL Network reported. Harris suffered the injury in the AFC title game with the Broncos.

Assuming his rehab goes well, Harris will at least compete and potentially land a starting role with the Broncos this summer. Many considered Harris to be the team's top defensive back.

Champ Bailey, Tony Carter exposed in Super Bowl
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/3/14) With cornerback Chris Harris sidelined by a torn ACL, Broncos corners Champ Bailey and Tony Carter got exposed in the Super Bowl. Carter gave up a perfect 158.3 passer rating on passes thrown to his coverage area, while Bailey yielded a 115.6 rating, according to Pro Football Focus.

Carter also was called for pass interference in the end zone, leading to a Seattle touchdown. Only corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie held up, allowing a 72.9 rating.
