|Stephon Gilmore among Bills inactives in Week 1 |
|by R.J. White | CBSSports.com|
(9/7/14) Bills starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Bears with a groin injury.
Gilmore's absence is a plus for the Bears' talented wide-receiver corps, as cornerback is projected to be the strength of the Bills back seven on defense. Other Bills inactives include running back Bryce Brown, offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio, guard Cyril Richardson, safety Jonathan Meeks, tight end Lee Smith and defensive end Jacquies Smith. Anthony Dixon, who was questionable to play with a hamstring issue, is active over Brown.
|Bills draft OT Cyrus Kouandjio |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(5/9/14) With the No. 44 pick in the NFL Draft, the Bills selected offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio from Alabama.
Kouandjio is 6-foot-7, 322 pounds. He made 26 starts for the Crimson Tide, but there are some concerns over his knee after he tore his ACL in 2011, which caused him to be red-flagged at the NFL Combine for an arthritic knee, later flunking multiple team physicals.
Despite the knee issues, Kouandjio has the chance to start at right tackle for the Bills this year if he wins the job in training camp.
