Packers lock up rookies Davante Adams, Richard Rodgers
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(6/12/14) The Packers have signed their last two draft picks Thursday with receiver Davante Adams and tight end Richard Rodgers, reports ESPN.

Adams deal is four years for just under $4 million with just under $1.8 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of just over $1.18 million.

Rodgers deal is four years for just over $2.7 million with just over $506,000 guaranteed in his signing bonus.

Could Davante Adams become a late-round steal?
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(5/13/14) One of the receivers in the 2014 NFL Draft to keep tabs on is Davante Adams , who landed with the Packers. Don't be so sure he'll spend his first season on the bench and buried on the depth chart. He has good skills as an outside receiver at Fresno State, posting over 100 catches in each of the last two seasons and going over 3,000 yards over that time. If he can come to camp with a good knowledge of the offense, which has some spread elements like what he ran in college, the 6-foot-1, 212-pound Adams could compete to push Jarrett Boykin off the field and work as the team's third wideout. That could lead to some really good Fantasy numbers if he worked effectively in the James Jones role.

We'd take Adams with a late pick in seasonal drafts on the chance he gets some good playing time right away. We'd also take him with a pick just after the halfway point in dynasty/keeper league drafts and would classify him as a good second-round pick in rookie-only drafts.

Davante Adams gets picked by the Packers
by Dave Richard | Senior Fantasy Writer
(5/9/14) With the 53rd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Packers selected Fresno State receiver Davante Adams .

Adams caught 233 passes for over 3,000 yards over the last two seasons, including leading the country with 131 receptions in 2013. By comparison to other receivers in this draft Adams is not a burner, but he's a hard worker on the field and a very good route-runner. He also has a strong build at 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds.

The Packers have a long history of developing receivers and Adams is one who should take everything he knows about playing in the spread offense and apply it to the Packers' aggressive West Coast scheme in due time.
