Bills overwhelm rookie QB in win
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/19/14) The Bills defense bounced back nicely from a blowout loss last week, in a 17-16 win over the Vikings in Week 7.
The Bills DST overwhelmed the Vikings' offensive line for five sacks, and they also took advantage of Teddy Bridgewater's youthful struggles. Bridgewater was picked off twice in the game, and the Vikings racked up just 15 points on 276 yards of total offense in the Bills' win.
The Bills DST unit finished Sunday's game with 15 Fantasy points, their fifth double-digit effort in seven contests. They head into solid matchup next with the Jets in Week 8.
Bills' pass rush could overwhelm Vikings
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/16/14) The Bills enter Week 7 ranked sixth in Fantasy scoring among DST units, and could improve on that with a matchup against the Vikings on the way.
The Vikings' offense looked solid in Teddy Bridgewater's first start in Week 4, but things have not gone well since. The Packers and Lions' DST units have racked up 52 combined Fantasy points against the Vikings over the last two games on the strength of 14 sacks, five interceptions and two forced fumbles.
The Vikings' offense has a lot of potential, but that is for the future. Right now it is sputtering, and the Bills' pass rush, which ranks second in the league in sacks, should find success. Consider the Bills a solid starting option for Week 7.
Tough matchup does in Bills
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(10/13/14) The Bills DST was on a pretty nice run until the Patriots came to town in Week 6, scoring 37 points on 416 yards. It was just the second time the Bills allowed more than 400 yards in a game this season. The 37 points were a season high by 14.
Coming off a six-sack game at Detroit in Week 5, the Bills weren't able to get to quarterback Tom Brady, sacking him just twice to equal a season low. They didn't have a takeaway.
The Patriots were coming off a rebirth of sorts, having exploded for 43 points against the Bengals the week before, so it wasn't a favorable matchup for the Bills. Still, the Bills DST held its own against the Chargers and Bears earlier this season and has earned your trust in Fantasy.
Certainly for Week 7 against the Vikings, who just got blown out by the Lions in Week 6, you'll want to keep the Bills DST active.

The Bills DST was a solid option in 2013, and hopefully they can continue to play at a high level this year. The unit suffered some key losses with safety Jairus Byrd going to New Orleans and defensive coordinator Mike Pettine becoming the head coach in Cleveland. But the Bills added Brandon Spikes, Keith Rivers and rookie Preston Brown at linebacker, and hopefully Kiko Alonso, Mario Williams, Marcell Dareus and Stephon Gilmore will continue to shine for new coordinator Jim Schwartz. The Bills DST finished No. 8 in Fantasy points in a standard league last season with 23 interceptions, 56 sacks, six fumble recoveries and three touchdowns. The interceptions and sacks were second in the NFL behind Seattle and Carolina, respectively. We consider the Bills a potential Top 12 option heading into the season, and they are worth drafting with a late-round pick. If the Bills don't get drafted then keep an eye on them as a quality bye-week replacement during the year.
