Rams defense held sackless, scores touchdown in Week 3
by R.J. White | CBSSports.com (9/21/14) The Rams didn't record a sack in Week 3's 34-31 loss to the Cowboys but did return an interception for a touchdown in the game.
Rams defensive end Robert Quinn saw plenty of double and triple teams with Chris Long sidelined, and none of his linemates were able to set up and hit Tony Romo with a sack. With the Rams already up 14-0 in the second quarter, cornerback Janoris Jenkins stepped in front of a Romo pass and cut an easy path to the end zone after making the pick. Defensive back Cody Davis managed to recover a DeMarco Murray fumble in the first quarter, giving the defense two turnovers on the day. The highly-regarded Rams defense has just one sack through three games heading into a Week 4 bye. A matchup with the Eagles awaits them on the other side of the week off.

Rams do just enough to get the job done vs. Bucs
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com (9/14/14) The Rams defense did just enough to get the job done in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.
The Rams were unable to solve Tampa Bay's rushing attack, as Bobby Rainey gashed the defense for 144 yards on the ground. St. Louis forced one turnover and recorded one sack. Rodney McLeod came down with the game's only interception in the first quarter. E.J. Gaines and Eugene Sims shared the only sack of the day for the Rams.
The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.

The Rams DST is overlooked playing in the same division as the Seahawks and 49ers, but they have been a Top 10 Fantasy unit for the past two years. In 2013, the Rams had 53 sacks, which ranked third in the NFL behind Carolina and Buffalo, with 14 interceptions, 15 fumble recoveries, six defensive touchdowns and one safety. The fumble recoveries were tied for first in the NFL with Kansas City and the six touchdowns were tied for third with Dallas. St. Louis has a dynamic return man in Tavon Austin and the Rams have elite defenders in James Laurinaitis, Robert Quinn, Chris Long, Alec Ogletree and Janoris Jenkins. We like the Rams as a No. 1 Fantasy DST again this year and they are worth drafting with a late-round pick in all leagues.
