Seahawks DST can't be stopped
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/22/14) The Seahawks DST had another dominant performance Week 16 at Arizona, continuing a nine-week run that has made it once again arguably the top unit in Fantasy. During that stretch, it has averaged 16.2 Fantasy points, allowing 11.9 points on 231.3 yards.
It allowed only six points on 216 yards in Week 16, recording four sacks and one interception. Of the Seahawks' 33 sacks this season, 20 have come in their last five games.
Clearly, they had a favorable matchup in this one, but they also shut down the Eagles in Week 14. You don't have any reason to shy away from the Seahawks DST against St. Louis in Week 17.

Avril was set to become a free agent at the end of the season before signing an extension. Since joining the Seahawks in 2013, the 28-year-old pass-rusher totaled 40 tackles, 12 1/2 sacks and six forced fumbles over 29 games.
Seahawks defense keeps rolling
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/14/14) The Seahawks defense continued their strong late-season run in Week 15, with a 17-7 win over the 49ers Sunday.
The Seahawks mostly failed to make many big plays, but the 49ers just couldn't get anything done against them offensively. The 49ers managed just 245 yards of total offense in the game, and though they failed to come away with any turnovers, the Seahawks did sack Colin Kaepernick six times en route to 16 Fantasy points.
The Seahawks have found their way on defense of late, averaging 19.0 Fantasy points per game over the last four. They will look to keep it up in Week 16 against the Cardinals, and should be viewed as a must-start unit.

The league's best defense proved its mettle yet again last season, capping off a third straight campaign as the league's top scoring defense. They also finished just one Fantasy point shy of the top spot, one year after falling all of three points shy. They have lost some talent to free agency defections, but the core remains largely the same, and they have had plenty of success sliding unheralded guys into the lineup in recent years. There might even be room for improvement this season, as they finished with just 37 sacks last season, six fewer than the previous season. You'll have to pay a premium to get them on your roster, but the Seahawks' reliability at a position that generally sees lots of fluctuation might be worth it. We typically don't recommend taking DSTs early in drafts, but if you are so inclined, you could safely take the Seahawks a round or two early.
