Carson Palmer: I feel like I'm 26
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/9/14) As the Cardinals finished last season on a 7-2 run, quarterback Carson Palmer ranked in the top 10 in completions, completion percentage, passing yards, yards per attempt, touchdown passes and passer rating. “My body feels great, like I did when I was 26,” Palmer told the Arizona Republic. “I was built to take hits, stay in the pocket and make throws. That’s always been one of my strengths.”

Palmer, 34, said he watched tape of the 2013 season and "it was like watching two different seasons, two different teams. It was amazing how much better we got across the board, from technique to execution, from the offensive line to the running backs to the routes run by wide receivers. What happens if we pick up where we left off?”

Arians remains confident in Carson Palmer
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/21/14) Cardinals coach Bruce Arians remains high on quarterback Carson Palmer and doesn't expect him to slow down in 2014 even though he'll be 34, reports the San Francisco Chronicle

"There is no doubt he has plenty of juice left in the tank," Arians said. "He's in great condition. I would think he could play until 36, 37 easily."

Carson Palmer threw deep ball better as year progressed
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(1/6/14) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was much more accurate on long throws later in the season, reports the Arizona Republic, which expects the 34-year-old to be the 2014 starter. Palmer was the only Arizona quarterback to take a snap this season.

He threw eight touchdowns against 13 interceptions over the first seven games. Over the final nine games, however, Palmer threw 16 touchdown passes with eight picks. The paper noted Palmer played through elbow and ankle injuries and should be better in the second year in Bruce Arians' system.

Carson Palmer throws for 400-plus yards in season finale
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/29/13) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer bounced back from his recent struggles with a 400-yard passing performance during Sunday's season finale against the 49ers in Week 17.

Palmer was picked off by NaVorro Bowman in the opening quarter but got back on track with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jake Ballard on a 4th-and-goal play in the second quarter. He then hooked up with Andre Roberts for a 34-yard touchdown strike with 3:28 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Palmer completed 28 of 49 passes for 407 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception in a 23-20 defeat. He has passed for at least 300 yards five times. He finished the season with a career-high 4,274 passing yards, with 24 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
Carson Palmer way too risky to trust Week 17
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/26/13) Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer will try to get back on track in a must-win home game against the 49ers in Week 17.

Palmer is seeking his first postseason birth since 2009 when he was a member of the Bengals. He was held to 178 passing yards, with one touchdown and four interceptions in a Week 16 win at Seattle. In his previous meeting, Palmer completed 25 of 41 passes for 298 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The 49ers have allowed only 209.1 passing yards per game, which is the fourth fewest allowed in the league this season. Opposing quarterbacks have scored 14.80 Fantasy points per game this season. Palmer is also battling injuries to the ankle and right elbow, which makes him an even riskier play. Consider him a low-end option for the final game of the regular season.
