Joe Flacco likes team's offseason moves
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4/6/14) Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco said he's excited about the team's offseason moves, including the additions of receiver Steve Smith and tight end Owen Daniels and the re-signing of left tackle Eugene Monroe and receiver/returner Jacoby Jones. Flacco also should have starting tight end Dennis Pitta at 100 percent after he missed 12 games last year with a hip injury.

"No doubt about it, these guys are some explosive players," Flacco told the Baltimore Sun. "We're going to expect them to come in and help us out and be pretty good. These guys are ready to go and work and build on what we have.

"These guys are going to do nothing but help. They're proven players from across the league, and it will be interesting to see how they come in and fit in and help us out."

Ravens 'a little disappointed' in Tyrod Taylor's performance
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/25/14) Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed the team wants to upgrade at backup quarterback. Tyrod Taylor is entering the final year of his contract and has never completed 60 percent of his passes in the preseason, notes ESPN.com.

"We've been very happy with Tyrod, and we feel like he has a great future, but we have been a little disappointed how he's played in games certainly," Harbaugh told the website. "We feel like he's a lot better than he's showed. I know he feels that way, too. We feel like Tyrod's best football is by far definitely in front of him, but he's only got one year left with us, so we need to add a quarterback into the mix, whether it be offseason or in the draft.”

Joe Flacco ends season on a low note
by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/29/13) Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco completed 30-of-50 passes for 192 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Bengals. He was intercepted three times, with all three picks coming in the fourth quarter.

Flacco's third interception was returned for a touchdown, essentially sealing the win for the Bengals. He had one carry for one yard and was sacked twice.

Flacco finishes the season with eight interceptions over his final four games, against just four touchdowns in that span.

Joe Flacco has tough Week 17 matchup
by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/27/13) Outside of what appears to be a huge Week 14 aberration -- with Andrew Luck scoring 40 points against them -- the Bengals have been a tough matchup for opposing quarterbacks, keeping them under 20 Fantasy points in all but that one game since Week 7.

Enter Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who, while off the team's injury report, is going to wear a knee brace to protect a sprain. He hasn't passed for a touchdown in two games, and has just one multiple-passing touchdown game since Week 11. Flacco has just four games this season with 20 or more Fantasy points.

With an unfavorable matchup, a knee issue, and a season full of sub-20 point games, Flacco can be left on the bench in most Fantasy formats for Week 17.

Joe Flacco to wear knee brace again
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/24/13) Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco, who struggled Week 16 wearing a protective knee brace, will wear it again Sunday in Cincinnati.

“I’m going to do it the same way,” Flacco told the team's website. “I really just want to make sure I can be as safe as I can moving forward so nothing crazy happens. I’m pretty comfortable with it. It’s not ideal, but it is what it is and it’s not that big of an issue.”

Flacco hit 22 of 38 throws for 262 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss to New England. He did not have good mobility and he underthrew a couple key passes, according to the website.

“The knee actually felt really good all game,” said Flacco, who hurt his knee Week 15 at Detroit. “It was just the way it played out.”

Flacco practiced Tuesday and said his knee continues to improve. “It feels better,” Flacco said. “It felt really good on gameday – a little sore yesterday and today, but it feels a lot better."
