Ravens QB Flacco turns boos into cheers with big fourth
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(12/28/14) Boos rained down upon Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco for three quarters Sunday against Cleveland, but he turned them into cheers in an explosive fourth in leading his team to a victory and playoff berth.
Flacco missed on his first three attempts of the game and things didn't get much better. His team trailed 10-3 after three as he was just 14 of 27 for 151 yards to that point. But he sizzled thereafter, completing 8 of 9 for 161 yards and two scores in the fourth. He hit Torrey Smith against strong coverage on a perfectly thrown 53-yarder to set up a 16-yard touchdown to the same receiver. He then found Kamar Aiken for a 2-yard score to clinch the win.
He finishes the regular season with career-highs in touchdowns (26) and yards passing (3,986).
Joe Flacco falters down the stretch

|(12/21/14) Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco put together arguably his worst performance of the season together at the worst possible time for Fantasy owners, as he faltered in a Week 16 loss to the Texans.
Flacco, who had more touchdowns than interceptions in each of his previous six games, was a disaster Sunday, as he was intercepted three times before tossing a pair of second-half touchdowns. He completed just 21 of 50 passes for 195 yards, for his worst completion percentage since 2011.
Flacco had consecutive 20-Fantasy-point games as recently as Week 13 and 14, but has stumbled down the stretch, combining for 27 in Weeks 15 and 16. He has certainly improved on his dismal 2013 showing, already matching a career-high in touchdown passes, but Flacco showed once again this season to be an unreliable Fantasy quarterback, posting just four 20-plus Fantasy point games in 15 tries.
