Tony Romo practicing Thursday as expected

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/20/14) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (back) returned to practice Thursday as expected after sitting out Wednesday's session per his usual routine, reports the team's website. Dallas visits the Giants on Sunday night.

Jerry Jones: Tony Romo 'maximized this break'

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/18/14) Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said in a radio interview that quarterback Tony Romo benefited greatly from the bye week.

"I think it's really beneficial, and he knows how to use it," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM], per the Dallas Morning News. "I think by the time we kick off Sunday he will have maximized this break for himself and for us. I was really pleased he had the outing he had in London. It certainly showed that with a couple more weeks of just simply letting it rest, if no other thing, then he'll be in better shape in that particular area of his back."

Romo has two fractures in his transverse process. He'll visit the Giants on Sunday night.

Tony Romo emerges unscathed from win in London

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(11/11/14) Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, who was questioned for leaving quarterback Tony Romo in late against the Jaguars, said Romo "came out of the game clean" and had no issues on the flight back from London, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Romo is dealing with two small fractures in his back.

He's on a bye Week 11 before visiting the Giants on Nov. 23.

Cowboys QB Romo overcomes bad back for big game in Britain

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/9/14) Bad back, great game. That sums up Sunday for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in London against the overwhelmed Jaguars.

Romo, who had been questionable with the ailment early in the week, didn't have his usual zip on his throws, but he was certainly effective. He tossed a 2-yard scoring stike to tight end Jason Witten late in the first quarter, giving him 37 consecutive games with at least one touchdown pass. He added touchdown passes of 35 and 68 yards to Dez Bryant in the second.

He finished 20 of 27 for 246 yards and the trio of scores before being removed with about six minutes left in the game. Romo can now rest his back for a bit as Dallas begins its bye week.

Tony Romo still a risky play with injury

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/7/14) Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is expected to play through a pair of fractures in his back in Week 10 against the Jaguars, after sitting out last week's game as a result of the injury.

The matchup against the 1-8 Jaguars might seem like a walk in the park for Romo, however this defense has been pretty feisty recently. They were burned for 11 passing touchdowns in the first four games of the season, but have buckled down since, allowing just four touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks over the last five games, while forcing four interceptions and two fumbles.

The Jaguars have 17 quarterback sacks over the last five games as well, and rank eighth in the league overall in sack percentage. They will provide a solid test for Romo, who might be one unfortunate hit from having to leave the game. He could have a solid game and should help the offense get going after Brandon Weeden's disastrous showing last week, but there is some risk for Fantasy owners who choose to rely on him.

Prior to his injury, Romo had at least 20 Fantasy points in four straight games, so the kind of production he can manage for you is obvious. However, given the risk involved, you may want to go for a safer bet in Week 10, if you have one.
