Nick Foles confident he can make adjustments
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4:47 pm ET) Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed less than 50 percent of his throws in the Week 4 loss at San Francisco. He hadn't done that since October 20, 2013.

"I just let it fly a little too far," Foles told the team's website. "It's just that. I've got to be a little more accurate, and I know how to do that. I've thrown a football for a long time, and you've just got to keep your body in the right spot to throw. I was letting it fly a little too far, so I know how to fix it and I'll fix it."

Poor showing not a deal-breaker for Nick Foles
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/28/14) Eagles quarterback Nick Foles wasn't at his best Week 4 at San Francisco. That much is certain. But on a day when the Eagles couldn't muster any sort of running game against one of the league's best run defenses, he's not entirely to blame.

Now, LeSean McCoy averaging less than 2 yards per carry -- that's a concern and one that could impact Foles if it continues. But for now, you shouldn't give much thought to sitting the third-year quarterback for Week 5 against St. Louis.

Had he thrown for 300 yards (instead of 195) for a fourth straight game to open the season, he would have joined Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Kurt Warner and Drew Brees as the only quarterbacks to do so, so he's still off to a great start.

Nick Foles crashes back to earth
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/28/14) After three straight 300-yard passing games, Eagles quarterback Nick Foles struggled mightily in the Week 4 loss at San Francisco. He completed 21 of 43 throws for 195 yards and no touchdowns with two interceptions.

Foles absorbed several big hits, and they affected his play. Late in the third quarter, Foles got leveled by defensive tackle Justin Smith and his severely underthrown pass was easily intercepted. His second pick came on a desperation 4th-and-24 heave in the final minute.

Foles got no help from the running game or from wideout Riley Cooper, who dropped a perfect throw in the end zone with about three minutes left. Foles will try to bounce back against the Rams in Week 5.

Nick Foles shows toughness with another 300-yard game
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Eagles quarterback Nick Foles put together another strong stat line Sunday, in a 37-34 win over Washington in Week 3.

Foles topped the 300-yard mark for the third straight game to open the season, as he racked up 325 yards. He completed 27 of 41 passes in the game, his highest completion percentage of the season, while tossing three touchdowns without an interception.

Foles took a beating in this game, and appeared to play through a couple of injuries. He should be healthy for Week 4 against the 49ers, and he carries a 60.9 completion percentage and 978 passing yards into next Sunday's game.

Nick Foles throws for 331 yards in comeback win
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(9/15/14) Eagles quarterback Nick Foles made big throws down the stretch in leading his team to a 30-27 comeback win in Indianapolis. After passing for 322 yards in the opener, Foles completed 21 of 37 throws for 331 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He also ran four times for 22 yards.

Foles ranks second in the league with 653 passing yards, trailing only Matt Ryan. While he missed some throws in the first half against the Colts, Foles also was victimized by his receivers. Riley Cooper dropped a 20-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and tight end Brent Celek later dropped a short scoring toss.

Foles finally threw a touchdown with 3:25 left when he threaded a 6-yard strike to Jeremy Maclin. On the winning field goal drive, Foles lofted a 24-yarder to tight end Zach Ertz. Foles did his best work with Darren Sproles, finding the scatback on short throws that yielded 57- and 51-yard gains.

Foles plays Washington in Week 3.
