Seahawks CB Jeremy Lane unlikely to be ready for training camp

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(6/18/15) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Thursday cornerback Jeremy Lane still has a ways to go before he can return to the field, reports 710 ESPN.

Lane is trying to recover from a compound wrist fracture and ligament tear in his knee, which he suffered in the Super Bowl. He is unlikely to be healthy enough to participate when training camp opens.

Seahawks' Pete Carroll: Jeremy Lane's injury recovery a 'long process'

by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com
(3/26/15) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said cornerback Jeremy Lane will endure a lengthy rehab process following his injury in the Super Bowl.

Lane suffered a compound wrist fracture and a knee-ligament tear in the game.

“That’s a long process to get back,’’ Carroll said, via ESPN.com. “It’s about how he handles the final stages of it.”

There isn't a set timetable for Lane's recovery at this time. He finished the 2014 regular season with 13 tackles, one forced fumble and three pass deflections.

Seahawks GM Schneider: Jeremy Lane needs knee surgery

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/19/15) Seahawks general manager John Schneider told reporters that nickel cornerback Jeremy Lane will require offseason knee surgery that could keep him out of the start of the 2015, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

Lane suffered a broken arm on an interception return in the first quarter of Seattle's Super Bowl loss against New England. Lane torn his ACL on the same play, the Seattle Times reports.

Lane spent the first half of the 2014 season on injured reserve with a groin injury. He was limited to seven games, registering 13 tackles and one fumble recovery.

Seahawks' Carroll: Lane suffered 'significant' broken arm in SB

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(2/2/15) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Monday cornerback Jeremy Lane suffered a "significant" broken arm during Sunday's Super Bowl loss against the Patriots. Lane suffered the injury on an interception return in the first quarter.

LOOK: Brandon LaFell scores first touchdown of Super Bowl 49

by Larry Hartstein | Senior Analyst
(2/1/15)

The Patriots methodically matriculated their way down the field to grab a 7-0 lead over the Seahawks with 9:47 left in the second quarter.

Picking on replacement cornerback Tharold Simon, Tom Brady threw an 11-yard slant to Brandon LaFell for his 50th career postseason touchdown pass. It was Brady's 10th Super Bowl scoring toss, second only to Joe Montana's 11.

Simon was playing for Jeremy Lane, who hurt his arm after intercepting Brady in the end zone. Simon also gave up Julian Edelman's 23-yard gainer on the drive.

LaFell, by the way, was a 12-to-1 long shot at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook to score the game's first touchdown.
