Rams QB Sam Bradford has permission to seek trade

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/18/15) Rams quarterback Sam Bradford has permission to request a trade, and his agent will speak with other teams this offseason, reports CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora. Because the Rams may have a high asking price for Bradford, the team may prefer to restructure his deal, which could be the most likely outcome, according to La Canfora.

In response to La Canfora's report, general manager Les Snead said "deleting him (from the roster) is not the answer," per the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.

Bradford, the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Rams in 2010, is coming off his second torn ACL in as many years, and is scheduled to make $12.98 million in base salary in 2015, the last year of his contract. Releasing Bradford would save the team $12.98 million of Bradford's $16.6 million cap charge. Bradford has a career 58.6 completion percentage with 11,065 yards and 59 touchdowns.

Rams' Shaun Hill stymied by Seahawks defense

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/28/14) Rams quarterback Shaun Hill had a rough game Week 17 against the Seahawks.

Hill completed 26 of 37 passes for 243 yards. He did not throw any touchdowns, but was picked off twice during the contest. Hill had a tough time escaping pressure, as he took four sacks. When he did have enough time to complete passes, Hill turned in a modest performance, averaging 6.6 yards per completion. Hill was not credited with a rushing attempt. He also fumbled once, but the Rams managed to recover.

Hill started eight games for the club in 2014. He finished with eight touchdowns against seven interceptions.

Rams QB Shaun Hill fails to do much Week 15

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(12/11/14) Rams quarterback Shaun Hill failed to do much Week 15 against the Cardinals.

Hill completed 20 of 39 passes for 229 yards. He did not throw any touchdowns, but did toss one interception. Hill had a tough time getting things going against a tough Arizona defense. He averaged just 5.9 yards per attempt, and was stuck checking the ball down most of the night. Only four of Hill's passes traveled over 20 yards. He also found himself under pressure a few times, taking two sacks. Hill ran the ball three times, picking up 11 rushing yards.

Hill will hope for more Week 16 against the Giants.

Shaun Hill making himself relevant

by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(12/7/14) Quarterback Shaun Hill has never been a big-time Fantasy option -- and that includes 2010, when he got to throw the ball to Calvin Johnson for 11 games as a fill-in for Matthew Stafford. But as a starter for the Rams, he's proven to be a vast improvement over predecessor Austin Davis and at least competent in Fantasy.

Week 14 at Washington was his second straight game with two touchdown passes and his second game in four weeks with more than 200 passing yards. According to standard CBSSports.com scoring, he has back-to-back games with 20-plus Fantasy points. Cam Newton hasn't done that all season.

Obviously, Hill's matchup against the Redskins wasn't the toughest. Against the Cardinals and Seahawks two of the next three weeks, we'll see what he's really made of. But in two-quarterback leagues, he's not the joke you thought he'd be when he first took over. In fact, he's probably more valuable than his Week 14 counterpart, the Redskins' Colt McCoy.

Rams QB Shaun Hill highly efficient in Week 14 win

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/7/14) Rams quarterback Shaun Hill played mistake-free football for the second straight week, completing 16 of 22 throws for 213 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-0 win at Washington. Hill has accounted for five scores and no turnovers in the past two games.

Hill threw 35- and 1-yard touchdowns to tight end Jared Cook. He's thrown 22 passes each of the past two weeks as the surging Rams rely on their defense.

Hill plays Arizona on Thursday.
