Jeff Fisher stands behind Sam Bradford
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5/6/14) Rams coach Jeff Fisher said the Rams are not looking to trade quarterback Sam Bradford. "Sam Bradford is our starter," Fisher said. "He's one of the reasons I took this job. We are not shopping Sam."
Report: Rams still committed to Sam Bradford
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(5/5/14) Reports have circulated about the Rams discussing a Sam Bradford trade with the Vikings, but the Rams insist they're committed to the fifth-year quarterback, reports Pro Football Talk. The Bradford rumors intensified following news St. Louis scouted quarterback Johnny Manziel extensively.
Sam Bradford facing make-or-break year
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(2/24/14) For Rams quarterback Sam Bradford, 2014 is a make-or-break year, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Bradford showed improvement last year before suffering a season-ending knee injury, posting a career-high 90.9 passer rating, but still has a lot to prove, the report said.

"This will be Bradford's 3rd season with [Brian] Schottenheimer as the OC. If things aren't clicking in Year III  ... then when?" the paper said.

Bradford is signed through 2015. He's owed $17.6 million this year and $16.5 million next year.

Sam Bradford could start throwing in May
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/21/14) Rams coach Jeff Fisher and general manager Les Snead both said positive things in regards to quarterback Sam Bradford on Friday.

Fisher said Bradford, who suffered a torn ACL last season, is scheduled to start throwing in late May and early June during OTA workouts, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

And Snead said Bradford remains the Rams quarterback moving forward and that contract extension talks are "ongoing and active," reports ESPN. Bradford is under contract for the next two seasons.

Jeff Fisher backs Sam Bradford
by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer
(2/18/14) Rams coach Jeff Fisher told ESPN that Sam Bradford will be the starting quarterback in 2014 and still has the chance to earn a contract extension. Bradford is coming back from last year's torn ACL.

"Sam's doing great with the rehab," Fisher said. "He's really excited. He took on a leadership role last year and he's maintained that and he's our quarterback, and we've said that."

Fisher would not commit, however, to a new contract for Bradford, but he didn't rule it out. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason LaCanfora reported that Bradford is unlikely to get a long-term deal, and he's due $27 million over the next two years.

"We talk about extensions with all our players under contract," Fisher said. "Whether or not we do so with him, I don't know where all this came from, but Sam's our quarterback. He's going to be under center."
