Russell Wilson scores twice in Super Bowl rematch
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/21/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson found the end zone twice and did just enough to manage an overtime victory over the Broncos at home in Week 3.

Wilson fired a 39-yard touchdown pass to Ricardo Lockette and found Marshawn Lynch for a 5-yard strike -- all in the second quarter. He was picked off by Chris Harris in the fourth quarter for his only blemish of the afternoon. He bounced back and led his team to a 13-play, 80-yard drive which resulted in a game-winning touchdown run from Lynch in overtime.

Wilson completed 24 of 34 passes for 258 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception. He was sacked three times. He rushed for 40 yards on nine carries.

Seattle is on a bye before returning to action in Week 5 at Washington.

Russell Wilson tosses two touchdowns in loss
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tossed two touchdown passes Week 2 against the Chargers.

Despite the fact that the Seahawks didn't possess the ball all that long, Wilson was able to get the team moving down the field. Wilson didn't strike until the end of the second quarter. With time running out, he found Robert Turbin on a 3 yard strike. Wilson did the same thing in the third, hitting Marshawn Lynch for the 14 yard score.

Wilson finished 17 of 25, for 202 yards and two scores. He also had 18 rushing yards during the contest. He'll take on the Broncos Week 3.

Russell Wilson tosses two touchdowns opening night
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/5/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw two touchdowns in the season opener against the Packers.

Wilson was efficient, completing 19 of 28 passes for 191 yards. He seemed to enjoy having a healthy Percy Harvin in the lineup. Harvin led the team with seven receptions. On his two touchdown throws, Harvin was not the target. On his second quarter touchdown pass, Wilson got the Packers cornerback to bite after a read-option play. This freed up Ricardo Lockette, who broke a tackle en route to a 33 yard score.

With the Seahawks trying to run out the clock late, Wilson managed to chip in another touchdown. On a fourth and one play, Wilson faked to running back Marshawn Lynch before hitting a wide open Derrick Coleman for the score.

Wilson was nearly picked off twice during the contest, but had both balls knocked away by his receivers. He was sacked once by the Packers defense. Wilson also ran for 29 yards.

Wilson will take on the Chargers Week 2.

Russell Wilson ready to shine Week 1?
by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(9/2/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson begins his post-Super Bowl year with a strong matchup against the Packers Week 1.

Wilson performed well during the preseason, completing 78.6 percent of his passes. He threw for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Wilson also managed three rushing touchdowns to cap off a strong preseason.

His ability to put up solid Fantasy numbers should be tested Week 1. The Packers did not boast a great defense against the pass last season. The team allowed quarterbacks to score 20.65 Fantasy points, which was the seventh worst clip in the league. Green Bay has been proactive in resolving the issue, drafting Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in the first round, but it’s unclear how much better the team’s defensive backs will perform.

The bigger question will be whether the Seahawks open up the offense for Wilson this season. With Marshawn Lynch out for much of the preseason, Wilson showed the ability to carry the team with his arm. Now that Lynch is back, the team could opt to get back to conservative play-calling with the franchise quarterback. Wilson has all the makings of a strong matchup here, but could get the short end of the stick if the Seahawks pound Lynch.

Russell Wilson catches fire with three scores Friday
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(8/23/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson caught fire again during Friday's preseason game against the Bears.

Wilson scored a seven yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. In the second quarter, he Jermaine Kearse for a 12-yard strike and Christine Michael for a 7-yard strike. He completed 15 of 20 passes for 202 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He was sacked once and finished with four carries for 23 yards and a touchdown through the ground.

Wilson has compiled 360 yards through the air while completing 30 of 39 passes this preseason. He has five touchdowns, three of which have come through the ground. While completing 79.6 percent of his passes, he has not committed a turnover.
