Russell Wilson says Terrelle Pryor can do 'great things'
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4/23/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson applauded the team's trade for Terrelle Pryor.

"I think the thing about our quarterback room is that we want to be the hardest-working guys in the room, and the hardest-working guys in the building," Wilson said on SiriusXM NFL Radio, per NFL.com. "That's the way we look at it. I know that Terrelle will bring that to the table. We're looking forward to that. I'm looking forward to just being around him and getting out there. I know that our locker room definitely became more athletic with him. He can do a lot of great things."

Pryor has a chance to be the No. 3 quarterback behind Wilson and Tarvaris Jackson.

Terrelle Pryor trade to Seattle becomes official
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(4/22/14) The Seahawks officially announced the acquisition of quarterback Terrelle Pryor from the Raiders in exchange for pick No. 247 in this year's draft.

Pryor played in 15 games with 10 starts in three seasons in Oakland. Last season, he completed 57.4 percent of his passes, tacking on 1,798 yards with seven touchdowns and 11 interceptions while also rushing for 576 yards and two touchdowns. He is not expected to change positions and will likely compete for the backup role behind Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson's goal: Be the best ever
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(4/3/14) Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is setting a lofty goal after winning the Super Bowl. "Why can't I be the best quarterback to ever play the game one day?' Wilson said, per ESPN.com. "I'm not right now. I've got a long way to go. But one day, you know?"

Wilson said he was inspired by his late father, who always used to tell him: "Russ, why not you?"

Wilson said he's going through "a championship offseason" and that he and his teammates are hungry for another title, the report said.

Russell Wilson getting no special treatment
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/31/14) Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said quarterback Russell Wilson is still "a young guy figuring it out."

"He needs all the attention that everyone else needs, and he’s gonna get it,” Carroll said. “Russell’s just a young guy figuring it out. Of course, he applies himself so well that you think that he’s okay. I think that would be a tragic mistake. He’s just developing. He’s just coming on. He needs work fundamentally. He needs work on the principles of what we’re doing. He needs repetitions with the guys he plays with. All of that will just continue to add to his play.

"So we’re not going to treat him any differently than anybody else. We’re gonna battle like crazy to make him push his game as far as he can take it."

Seahawks re-sign Tarvaris Jackson
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(3/17/14) The Seahawks announced that they re-signed backup quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. He appeared in four games last season, completing 10 of 13 throws for 151 yards and a touchdown while adding a rushing score.
