Bucs coach holding off on QB decision until Josh McCown is healthy
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/29/14) Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith would not say during his Monday press conference who will start at quarterback once Josh McCown is healthy enough to return from a right thumb injury, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Smith said the team will start whoever gives them the best chance to win.

The Bucs picked up their first win of the season Sunday at Pittsburgh behind Mike Glennon, who made his first start of the season.

Need to see more from Mike Glennon
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer
(9/28/14) As I wrote earlier in the week, Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon had an underrated rookie season that's made him overlooked in Fantasy now that he's back in a starting role. But his inspiring comeback effort Week 4 at Pittsburgh doesn't compel me to add him off the waiver wire.

For one thing, a couple of big catches catches from backup wide receiver Louis Murphy really upped his yardage in the fourth quarter. He had only 154 yards after three quarters and only 57 after two. The turnaround was part of a frantic comeback effort that succeeded in part because of its recklessness. Glennon completed only 50 percent of his passes (21 for 42) on the day, which is unheard of among the quarterbacks who matter in Fantasy.

Does that mean it was all luck and Glennon is a complete waste of Fantasy owners' time? I'm not saying that. I just don't want to make too much of it either way. Prior to the fourth quarter, Glennon was a bust, but maybe his fourth quarter performance will compel the Buccaneers to open up the offense for him.

Outside of two-quarterback leagues, you can afford to wait and see with him.

Mike Glennon plays role of hero with late touchdown Sunday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/28/14) Unheralded Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon had some nice moments in 2013, but none as impressive as those he produced down the stretch Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Glennon keyed a game-winning drive with a 41-yard pass to just-acquired wideout Louis Murphy, then clinched the comeback victory with a 5-yard touchdown to Vincent Jackson near the left sideline. The heroics concluded a second half in which Glennon completed 16 of 31 for 245 yards and the score. He finished 21 of 42 for a career-high 302 yards and two touchdowns. The numbers would have been better if not for several drops.

Despite the huge throw to the veteran, Glennon established a better rapport with Murphy and rookie Mike Evans, to whom he completed nine passes for 109 yards and a score. If he continues to start over the currently injured Josh McCown, his next action will be at New Orleans in Week 5.

Still looking like Mike Glennon will start for injured QB Week 4
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/25/14) Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith said Thursday the addition of quarterback Mike Kafka to the active roster is a good indication quarterback Josh McCown (thumb) will not play Week 4 at Pittsburgh. Mike Glennon is expected to start at quarterback for Tampa Bay.
Josh McCown will try to play through injury, likely out Week 4
by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(9/24/14) Buccaneers quarterback Josh McCown has a ligament tear in his right thumb, according to the Tampa Bay Times. He will try to play through the injury, but he is expected to sit out Week 4 against the Steelers.
