Buccaneers' Mike Glennon scores twice in garbage time
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(10/12/14) Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon managed to pull out a decent game Week 6.
Glennon completed 24 of 44 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns. He threw one interception during the contest. Glennon did almost all of his work in the second half. With the Bucs down 35-0, Glennon was forced to air it out. While he turned in solid numbers, the team was never close to completing a comeback.
The Bucs are on a bye Week 7.
'Odds are' Bucs QB Mike Glennon will start Week 6

|(10/6/14) Buccaneers coach Lovie Smith said Monday the "odd are" quarterback Mike Glennon will start again Week 6 vs. Baltimore. Glennon has started the last two games in place of injured quarterback Josh McCown (thumb).
Smith refrained Monday from addressing the team's long-term situation at quarterback. Glennon is 1-1 in two starts since replacing McCown. He has passed for 672 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions in three games this season.
Nice encore for Mike Glennon

|(10/5/14) After his two-touchdown, 302-yard performance Week 4 at Pittsburgh, I wrote that we needed to see more from Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon. After all, he completed only 50 percent of his passes in that game, benefiting from some desperation passes late.
Well, we saw more Week 5 at New Orleans. We saw him finish with comparable numbers, again throwing for two scores on a respectable 249 yards.
Granted, it was a favorable matchup -- the Saints entered the day tied for 28th against the pass, and every team who faces them knows it's going to have to throw the ball to keep up -- but Glennon looked the part, connecting with a leaping Louis Murphy over the top of a defender on a 20-yard touchdown pass late in the first half and firing a 9-yard strike to Robert Herron to give his team an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter.
Given what Glennon did as a rookie last year, these back-to-back two-touchdown efforts count for something. He remains more of a bye-week replacement than someone you can count on every week, but that puts him about on the same level as Alex Smith in Fantasy.
Mike Glennon produces for second straight week

|(10/5/14) Making his second straight start, Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon completed 19 of 32 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 5 overtime loss at New Orleans. Glennon was intercepted once and took a sack in the end zone for a safety.|
Glennon found Louis Murphy for a 20-yard score right before halftime and hit rookie Robert Herron for a 9-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Glennon's favorite target was Vincent Jackson, who caught eight of 12 targets for 144 yards.
Glennon has played better than Josh McCown, who's out with a thumb injury. The Buccaneers have not announced whether Glennon will start again Week 6 against the Ravens.
Mike Glennon could put up numbers vs. Saints
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
|(10/1/14) Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon put together a solid performance in leading his team to a surprise win over the Steelers in Week 4, and now faces a solid matchup in his encore in Week 5 against the Saints.
Glennon had accuracy issues against the Steelers, but still put up 300-plus yards and two touchdowns. He might find some success this Sunday, against a Saints defense that has struggled to slow down opposing quarterbacks. Only four teams have allowed more Fantasy points per game to quarterbacks than the Saints, who have been tagged for 22.5 per game, including 30-plus twice.
Glennon is tough to rely on, given his lack of track record, but there is a chance for him to put up some numbers here. The Saints are likely to go up early Sunday, so Glennon could be forced to pass often. In a two-QB league, Glennon has some upside in Week 5.
