Giants' Donnell fails to repeat three-TD game in rematch with Redskins

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/14/14) Giants tight end Larry Donnell didn't quite have the same impact in the passing game Sunday against the Redskins as he did in a Week 4 win against the NFC East foe, when he had a career-best three touchdowns.

Donnell was held to two catches for 11 yards during a 24-13 win Week 15. He now hasn't had a touchdown in four straight games.

The Giants are back in action Week 16 at St. Louis.

Giants TE Larry Donnell extends scoreless streak to three games

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(12/7/14) Giants tight end Larry Donnell finished with four catches for 28 yards during a 36-7 win Week 14 at Tennessee. He was targeted seven times and his longest catch went 11 yards.

Donnell hasn't had a touchdown in three straight games. The Giants are back in action Week 15 vs. Washington. Donnell had a three-touchdown game Week 4 against the Redskins.

Giants TE Larry Donnell loses another fumble Week 13

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/30/14) Giants tight end Larry Donnell had another costly fumble during a 25-24 loss Week 13 at Jacksonville. Donnell, who already lost three fumbles entering play Sunday, coughed up the football early in the fourth quarter, which led to a 41-yard fumble return for a touchdown by Aaron Colvin that gave Jacksonville a 22-21 lead.

Donnell was second on the team Sunday with 55 receiving yards on five catches. He was targeted seven times and his longest catch went 32 yards.

The Giants are back in action Week 14 at Tennessee.

Giants' Rueben Randle paces secondary targets in Week 12

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/24/14) Giants wide receiver Rueben Randle caught all three of his targets for 36 yards in his team's 31-28 loss to the Cowboys in Week 12.

Eli Manning was locked in on rookie Odell Beckham (10 catches, 146 yards, two TDs) and running back Rashad Jennings (eight catches, 68 yards), and Randle was one of the quarterback's six other targeted receivers to split 11 catches. Tight end Daniel Fells also secured three receptions for 35 yards, while tight end Larry Donnell managed just two receptions for 24 yards. Wide receiver Preston Parker caught one of his three targets for 16 yards, while tight end Adrien Robinson caught his only target for a one-yard touchdown.

Randle, Parker and the team's TE corps should continue to play a complementary role behind Beckham moving forward. The Giants will take on the Jaguars in Week 13.

Coughlin upset Giants missed big-play opportunity in Week 11 loss

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(11/18/14) Giants coach Tom Coughlin has plenty to be upset about as New York heads into Week 12 amid a five-game losing streak. The Giants had plenty of chances to end their losing skid during a 16-10 loss Week 11 vs. San Francisco, but the team was hurt by quarterback Eli Manning's five interceptions.

Coughlin voiced his displeasure after the loss about the Giants' failed attempt to score a go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter on four plays from the 4-yard line. On Monday, however, Coughlin expressed disappointment with another failed play earlier in the game, which he believes would have resulted in a 76-yard touchdown reception by rookie wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

On their second offensive drive, the Giants had a second-and-8 from the 24-yard line. Manning faked the handoff to running back Rashad Jennings and had two receivers -- Beckham and tight end Larry Donnell -- running downfield. Unfortunately, Manning locked in on Donnell, who was running a corner fade, and missed Beckham, who ran a deep post and appeared to have two San Francisco defenders beat. Manning threw an incomplete pass to Donnell and two plays later they punted the football.

"On the seventh play of the game -- we scored on the fifth -- we had another opportunity for a score there," Coughlin said Monday, per NJ.com. "We had Odell running open on that play."
