Falcons PK Matt Bryant perfect against Pittsburgh
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
|(12/14/14) Falcons placekicker Matt Bryant certainly can't be blamed for his team's loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. All he did was boot every attempt through the uprights.
Bryant connected on a 28-yard field goal four minutes into the second half and added a 22-yarder later in the third quarter. He was perfect on both extra point tries as well.
Falcons DST posts another solid game

|(11/17/14) The Falcons defense took advantage of a subpar Panthers defense in Week 11, in a 19-17 win Sunday.
The Falcons defense surrendered 391 yards of total offense to the Panthers, including 285 through the air, but adopted a bend-don't-break philosophy near the end zone, as the Panthers failed to score in the red zone. The Falcons force a pair of turnovers on Cam Newton interceptions, and sacked him twice in the win.
The Falcons defense has found their footing recently, recording consecutive double-digit Fantasy scoring games, after failing to do so in each of the team's previous five games. They will try to make it three in a row in Week 12, with a matchup against the Browns on the way.
Falcons DST wrecks havoc on Bucs Thursday
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
|(9/19/14) The Falcons DST had a big game Thursday against the Buccaneers.
Atlanta held the Bucs without a score until 8:46 was left in the game. The team was already ahead 56-0 at that point. Some of those points came as a result of strong defensive play. Atlanta managed one defensive touchdown after picking off Josh McCown. Devin Hester also returned a punt, putting Atlanta on the board for a second time. Overall, the team forced five fumbles, four of which were recovered.
Atlanta will look for more Week 4 against the Vikings.
Falcons sign Devin Hester
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
|(3/20/14) The Falcons have signed return specialist/receiver Devin Hester to a three-year deal, reports ESPN. Hester had spent his entire eight-year career with the Bears.
As an offensive player, Hester has limitations with 217 catches for 2,807 yards and 14 touchdowns. He did not catch a pass in 2013.
As a return man, Hester is special. He has 13 punt returns for touchdowns and five kick returns for scores. He had a punt return for a touchdown in 2013.
Falcons DST burned on the ground
|by Larry Hartstein | Senior Analyst|
|(12/24/13) The Falcons DST could not stop the run in the loss at San Francisco, giving up 199 yards on 30 attempts or 6.6 yards per carry. Atlanta struggled especially after losing defensive tackle Corey Peters to a first-half Achilles injury.
The Falcons DST forced no turnovers but got sacks from Peters, linebacker Stephen Nicholas and defensive end Jonathan Massaquoi.
San Francisco scored on four consecutive drives to start the second half and finished with 379 total yards. The injury-depleted Falcons DST wraps up the season vs. Carolina.
