Bills dominate Dolphins with defense, special teams
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) The Bills put together a strong all-around performance in Week 2 against the Dolphins, with contributions from special teams and defense in a 29-10 win Sunday.

The Bills defense limited the Dolphins to just 290 yards of total offense and 10 points, all of which came in the third quarter. They also sacked Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill four times in the game, while forcing a pair of turnovers.

One of those turnovers came by way of a muffed punt by the Dolphins on special teams. The Bills also contributing a special teams touchdown with C.J. Spiller's 102-yard kickoff return touchdown in the third quarter to put them up for good.

The Bills DST unit has contributed double digits in scoring in each of the first two games, and will look to keep the good times rolling when they take on the Chargers in Week 3.

C.J. Spiller scores on special teams in win
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) Bills running back C.J. Spiller was able to contribute in many different ways in Week 2, a 29-10 win over the Dolphins.

Spiller split the workload fairly evenly with Fred Jackson, as both players had 12 carries in the game, however Spiller was much more effective. He rushed for 69 yards, 47 of which came on one rush. He also had one reception for 9 yards, and added a 102-yard kickoff return touchdown in the third quarter, his first since he was a rookie.

The Bills seem likely to continue to split playing time in the backfield, but Spiller has been productive anyways. He has 122 rushing yards and 20 receiving yard through the first two games, with the Bills set to take on the Chargers in Week 3.

Only a sack prevents Bills DST from getting zilch
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/30/13) The Bills DST was not a strong Fantasy play in Week 17 - and that's an understatement. They surrendered 34 points and 382 yards to the Patriots and couldn't not even record a turnover. All that prevented them from going scoreless was one measly sack.
Dan Carpenter boots two in defeat to Patriots
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/29/13) Bills placekicker Dan Carpenter can't be blamed for the loss Sunday at New England. He was perfect in two field goal tries.

Carpenter blasted a 51-yarder in the first quarter to knot the score at 3-3 and added a 37-yarder with three minutes remaining in the game to pull his team to within seven points.

Bills defense hot, but DST a weak play at New England
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/27/13) The good news for Fantasy owners of the Bills DST heading into the Week 17 clash at New England is that they lead the NFL with 56 sacks, rank second in interceptions with 22 and are coming off a shutout of Miami.

The bad news is everything else, including the matchup against a Patriots team that found itself offensively in early November and has been its usual explosive self ever since. New England has averaged a ridiculous 461 yards and 33 points in its last seven games.

The Bills defense sticks out like a sore thumb in some areas despite the shut-down performance against the Dolphins. They rank 21st in passing touchdowns allowed (27) and 23rd in rushing yards yielded (1,796). Those are not good areas to be weak in for a game at New England.

Their sack total is encouraging, especially since the Patriots offensive line has been porous at times. But Brady has just 10 interceptions all season and his team is not prone to turnovers. There are more reasons than not to keep the Bills DST out of your Fantasy lineups in Week 17.
