|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(9/12/14) The Giants have four players listed as out for Week 2 against the Cardinals, and none of them come as much of a surprise.
The team ruled out wide receiver Odell Beckham (hamstring), linebacker Devon Kennard (hamstring), defensive lineman Markus Kuhn (ankle) and offensive lineman James Brewer (back) on Friday's official injury report as a result of their injuries, which kept each out throughout the week in practice.

|Giants hoping Jon Beason returns by Week 3 |
|by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com|
(7/14/14) The Giants hope middle linebacker Jon Beason, who's recovering from a foot injury, will return during the first three weeks of the season, reports The Star-Ledger. In his absence, Jameel McClain and rookie Devon Kennard will compete for the starting job.
The paper is betting on McClain thanks to his six years of experience with the Ravens.
|Jon Beason out 12 weeks |
|by Jamey Eisenberg | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(6/13/14) Giants linebacker Jon Beason, who was carted off the field during practice Thursday with an injured right foot, is now headed for surgery, reports NFL.com.
The report says Beason suffered a sesamoid fracture in his right foot, per a source aware of the diagnosis. He's expected to miss 12 weeks, which puts Beason out for most of training camp and threatens his availability for Week 1.
Rookie Devon Kennard would handle middle linebacker duties if Beason is out for any regular season action.
