|Jaguars DST facing decent matchup Week 15 |
|by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com|
(9:23 am ET) The Jaguars DST is looking at an above-average matchup Week 15 against the Bills.
The Bills have allowed opposing defenses to put up some points, allowing 10.54 Fantasy points per game. Buffalo gives the ball up quite a bit. The team has averaged an interception per game, allowed 39 sacks and lead the league with 26 fumbles. Their offense averages 21 points per game, which ranks 25th.
The Jaguars aren't the best team to take advantage of those flaws. Jacksonville has been one of the worst defenses in the league, allowing 28.6 points per game. Jacksonville doesn't put any pressure on opposing quarterbacks, with a league-low 23 sacks. They've also forced just 9 interceptions. The Jaguars haven't been a good Fantasy defense all season. Even in a decent matchup, they shouldn't be started.
|Jaguars force two turnovers in win over Texans |
|by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com|
(12/6/13) The Jaguars defense gave up a ton yards to the Texans in Week 14, but did a decent job holding them in check overall in a 27-20 win.
The Texans' offense racked up 406 yards, 323 of which came through the air. The Jaguars did a good job bending, however, and they broke just twice for touchdowns. Jacksonville racked up three sacks and picked off each of the Texans' quarterbacks once, giving the unit two total in the game.
The Jaguars DST unit had better success against Houston the last time these two teams played, but this defense has still given up at least 20 points in 11 of 13 games this season. They face the Bills in Week 15, who rank just 20th in the league in points scored.
|Jags DST better than you may realize |
|by Nando Di Fino | Senior Fantasy Writer|
(12/3/13) The Jaguars were a bit of a joke earlier this season, but they've been a defensive force since their bye: three of their last four games have produced double-digit Fantasy points.
Over that four-game span, the Jags have intercepted four passes, recorded nine sacks, and recovered four fumbles. Their Week 14 opponent, the Texans, yielded a 16-Fantasy point game when they faced off in Week 12, scoring just six (real) points and throwing an interception. That game, however, was a weird one for the Texans. For as bad they've been this season, Ben Tate rushed for one yard and Case Keenum was off all day. The performance may not be repeated.
The Jags are a sneaky DST add in a deeper league. While the Texans shouldn't be as bad as they were in Week 12, they have bouts of disappointment. While the Jags are best left for deeper Fantasy formats, they make for a decent gamble in deeper leagues.
|Jaguars DST surprisingly productive on Sunday |
|by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com|
(12/1/13) Not too many Fantasy players own the Jaguars DST, but those who do and played the unit Sunday against Cleveland reaped some benefits.
The group captured some points on a fourth quarter safety, intercepted two passes and added a fumble recovery. The Jaguars also registered three sacks in an all-around productive performance despite giving up 439 total yards.
|Josh Scobee nails three to help Jaguars defeat Browns |

(12/1/13) Jaguars placekicker Josh Scobee made a major impact on his team's victory Sunday in Cleveland. He connected on field goals of 44 and 36 yards in the second quarter and another of 25 yards in the fourth. He was perfect in three tries.
