Saints DST continues to struggle

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/25/14) The Saints DST unit's struggles continued in Week 12, as they fell to the Ravens, 34-27.

The Saints allowed the Ravens to rack up 449 yards of total offense, and could have been in for an even worse night, if the Ravens hadn't failed to score on two of their four trips to the red zone. The Ravens still managed to drop 34 points on them, though one score came on an interception return by the Ravens defense.

The Saints forced one turnover in the game, and ended up with just 3 Fantasy points, their second game in a row with that total. The Saints have failed to reach double figures in each of their last three games, a streak that could continue in Week 13 against the Steelers.

Saints can't slow down slumping Bengals

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/17/14) The Saints DST unit fell apart in Week 11's 27-10 loss to the Bengals at home Sunday.

The Bengals offense had one of their best games in weeks against the Saints, racking up 405 yards of total offense in the game. The Saints failed to record a single turnover, and sacked Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton just once in the loss.

The Saints defense has had moments of greatness this season, and were averaging 11.8 Fantasy points in their previous four games, so hopefully this is just a bump in the road. Their next game is set for Week 12 against the Ravens.

Late meltdown costs Saints in loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/20/14) The Saints defense mostly held up their end of the bargain Sunday, but fell apart late in a 24-23 loss to the Lions in Week 7.

The Lions had just 10 points with four minutes left in the fourth quarter, as the Saints looked to be on their way to an easy win. Unfortunately, they surrendered two quick touchdowns to cost them the game.

The Saints did limit the Lions to just 344 yards of total offense in the game, including a paltry 59 yards on the ground. They forced a pair of turnovers and sacked Matthew Stafford three times in the loss.

The Saints DST unit still managed to score 9 Fantasy points in Sunday's game, their second-highest total of the season. They will likely struggle to reach even that level in Week 8, with the Packers on the schedule.

Shayne Graham connects on all tries in Sunday defeat

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) Saints placekicker Shayne Graham was perfect on a Sunday afternoon in which his team was far from it.

Graham booted a 27-yard field goal in his lone attempt and added three extra points in the loss to Cleveland.

Cameron Jordan does his job against Seahawks

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(1/11/14) Defensive end Cameron Jordan led the Saints charge defensively Saturday in Seattle. He contributed six tackles, one of three sacks and two of three TFLs.
