Rams DST gets four sacks
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/29/13) The Rams DST allowed 269 total yards and registered four sacks in the Week 17 loss at Seattle. Defensive end Robert Quinn got one of those sacks, giving him 19 this season to finish a half-sack behind Indianapolis' Robert Quinn for the NFL lead.

St. Louis was unable to force a turnover but the defense played fairly well, allowing 20 points. One Seattle touchdown came on a pick-6.

Rams pass rush dominates in Week 16
by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/22/13) The Buccaneers offense had a hard time getting going in Week 16, and the Rams pass rush was a big reason why.

The Rams held the Buccaneers to just 170 yards and 13 points in a 23-13 win, and Tampa Bay's offense managed just one field goal after halftime. The Buccaneers turned the ball over twice on lost fumbles, but the biggest story in the game was the way Tampa's offensive line was dominated.

The Rams racked up seven sacks for 47 yards lost total.  Robert Quinn had three of those sacks, and four other players chipped in. The Rams completely dominated the line of scrimmage Sunday, but they will probably have a tougher time of things in Week 17, with the Seahawks on the schedule to close the season.

Rams DST surprisingly strong play on Sunday
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/16/13) The Rams DST didn't seem like much of a Fantasy play heading into their Sunday game against the explosive Saints. But they turned out to be a decent one.

They did not score a touchdown, but they did record four sacks, hold New Orleans to 16 points, pick off two interceptions and recover a fumble.

Greg Zuerlein perfect in two tries against Saints
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/16/13) Rams placekicker Greg Zuerlein kicked a 31-yard field goal in the second quarter and a 35-yarder in the third to help his team to a surprisingly easy win over New Orleans.
Rams DST not bad - but not good against explosive Saints
by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/13/13) There have been some positives achieved by the Rams defense this season. They rank in the top half of the league in points allowed (308), rushing yards given up (1,415), passing touchdowns surrendered (19) and rushing YPC (3.9). They have also been on a turnover tear with 12 in their last five games and rank seventh in sacks with 38, led by Robert Quinn.

But there is one fact that should keep Fantasy owners from putting the Rams DST in their Week 15 lineups. That is, they are hosting the Saints. They are hosting an offense that ranks fifth in the NFL in points scored (343) and passing touchdowns (33) and third in passing yards (3,938). The Rams rank 30th in the NFL in passing yards per attempt (7.1).

It's playoff time and Fantasy owners can't take the chance that Saints quarterback Drew Brees will experience one of his rare off-days. It would be wise to find another option, even if you have to scour the waiver wire for a more favorable matchup.
