Defense leads the way in upset win over Broncos

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/17/14) The Rams defense came up with arguably their best performance of the season in Week 11, as they shut down the Broncos offense in a 22-7 win.

The Rams allowed 397 yards of total offense, but held the Broncos out of the end zone almost all day, with just one long pass getting the Broncos in. The Rams came up with a pair of sacks and intercepted quarterback Peyton Manning twice, his third game in a row with at least two picks.

The Rams have been about as inconsistent as a DST unit can be this season, with four 10-plus Fantasy point games and six with seven or under their belt so far. They will look to keep their Week 11 success up in Week 12, with a matchup against the Chargers on the game.

Rams PK Greg Zuerlein true on all five FG attempts Sunday

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(11/16/14) Rams placekicker Greg Zuerlein was among the stars of the Sunday upset of Denver. He slammed through all five field goals he attempted, including a 55-yarder early in the fourth quarter that was his second-longest of the season.

Zuerlein successfully booted tries of 37 and 29 yards in the first half and added field goals of 22 and 53 yards after intermission to go along with the massive boot. He also kicked through his lone extra point attempt.

Rams allow another 30-plus point game

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/5/14) The Rams came out on the short end of a shootout Sunday, in a 34-28 loss to the Eagles.

The Rams defense actually held their own, as the Eagles scored 14 of their 34 points on special teams and defenses. The Eagles' offense managed just 352 yards on 70 plays, and the Rams forced three turnovers. Unfortunately, their issues with pass rushing continued, as they failed to take Nick Foles down in the game.

The Rams' defense has allowed 30-plus points in three of four games, and has a tough matchup on the way in Week 6, with the 49ers on the schedule.

Shaun Hill officially questionable for Week 3

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/19/14) Rams quarterback Shaun Hill was a limited participant for the third day in a row Friday, as he continues to work his way back from a thigh injury.

Hill is officially listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 3 against the Cowboys, after sitting out the team's last week as a result of the injury. If he cannot play Sunday, Austin Davis will get the start again.

Rams do just enough to get the job done vs. Bucs

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) The Rams defense did just enough to get the job done in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

The Rams were unable to solve Tampa Bay's rushing attack, as Bobby Rainey gashed the defense for 144 yards on the ground. St. Louis forced one turnover and recorded one sack. Rodney McLeod came down with the game's only interception in the first quarter. E.J. Gaines and Eugene Sims shared the only sack of the day for the Rams.

The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.
