Rams allow another 30-plus point game

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/5/14) The Rams came out on the short end of a shootout Sunday, in a 34-28 loss to the Eagles.

The Rams defense actually held their own, as the Eagles scored 14 of their 34 points on special teams and defenses. The Eagles' offense managed just 352 yards on 70 plays, and the Rams forced three turnovers. Unfortunately, their issues with pass rushing continued, as they failed to take Nick Foles down in the game.

The Rams' defense has allowed 30-plus points in three of four games, and has a tough matchup on the way in Week 6, with the 49ers on the schedule.

Shaun Hill officially questionable for Week 3

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/19/14) Rams quarterback Shaun Hill was a limited participant for the third day in a row Friday, as he continues to work his way back from a thigh injury.

Hill is officially listed as questionable on the injury report for Week 3 against the Cowboys, after sitting out the team's last week as a result of the injury. If he cannot play Sunday, Austin Davis will get the start again.

Rams do just enough to get the job done vs. Bucs

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/14/14) The Rams defense did just enough to get the job done in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

The Rams were unable to solve Tampa Bay's rushing attack, as Bobby Rainey gashed the defense for 144 yards on the ground. St. Louis forced one turnover and recorded one sack. Rodney McLeod came down with the game's only interception in the first quarter. E.J. Gaines and Eugene Sims shared the only sack of the day for the Rams.

The Rams will be back at home to host the Cowboys in Week 3.

Rams DST gets four sacks

by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com
(12/29/13) The Rams DST allowed 269 total yards and registered four sacks in the Week 17 loss at Seattle. Defensive end Robert Quinn got one of those sacks, giving him 19 this season to finish a half-sack behind Indianapolis' Robert Quinn for the NFL lead.

St. Louis was unable to force a turnover but the defense played fairly well, allowing 20 points. One Seattle touchdown came on a pick-6.

Rams pass rush dominates in Week 16

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/22/13) The Buccaneers offense had a hard time getting going in Week 16, and the Rams pass rush was a big reason why.

The Rams held the Buccaneers to just 170 yards and 13 points in a 23-13 win, and Tampa Bay's offense managed just one field goal after halftime. The Buccaneers turned the ball over twice on lost fumbles, but the biggest story in the game was the way Tampa's offensive line was dominated.

The Rams racked up seven sacks for 47 yards lost total.  Robert Quinn had three of those sacks, and four other players chipped in. The Rams completely dominated the line of scrimmage Sunday, but they will probably have a tougher time of things in Week 17, with the Seahawks on the schedule to close the season.
